La semana pasada tuvo lugar en mi ciudad la feria del libro de ocasión, y encontré este libro de Esfera por 3 euros. Nuevo me habría costado 3 veces más. Y pese a que es un libro usado, para mí es mucho mejor que uno nuevo. Para empezar, el libro ya tiene su propia historia: está en perfectas condiciones, salvo porque se le amarillearon las páginas. Debió ser, en su día, un regalo, pues alguien se molestó en borrar definitivamente su precio original, que estaba impreso en la contraportada. Y el que recibió el libro, debía apreciar mucho a quien se lo regaló, pues está cuidadosamente forrado, con el mismo forro que se usa en el cole. Sin embargo, creo que es la primera vez que este libro es leído; como dije, está en perfectas condiciones, no hay una sola página doblada o curvada.
The second-hand book fair took place in my city last week. I found this book, Sfera, for only 3 euros. If it had been new it would have triple in price. And in spite of the fact that is a second-hand book, I think it’s better than a new one. To begin with, this book has its own history: it’s in perfect condition, except some pages that turned yellow. It must have been a present, since someone bothered in rub out its original price for good, which was printed on the back cover. The person who received the book must be very fond of the one who give it to him, since the book is carefully covered. However, I think it’s the first time the book is going to be read; as I said before, it’s in perfect condition, there isn’t any page folded.
