La customización de una camiseta debe ir acorde con el estilo de la misma. En este caso, no había mejor elección que customizar la camiseta con flecos hechos a partir de sus propias mangas. Así tenemos un cowboy style acorde con el print de la camiseta.
When you customize a garment, it must be appropriate to its style. In this case, the best choice was customizing the tee with fringes made out of its own sleeves. This way I got a cowboy style that matches with the print of the t-shirt.
Someone in t-shirt surgery community asked me how I had add the fringes. Ok, these are the instructions:
Alguien en la comunidad de cirugía textil me preguntó como cosí los flecos. Pues bien, aquí están las instrucciones:
1- Cut a strip of fabric and then make fringes with it, cutting strips of fabric but without cutting them out, as showed in the drawing:
Corta una tira de tela y haz flecos con ella, cortando tiras de tela pero sin separarlas del resto de la tela, como se muestra.
2- Sew them to the tee, in the opposite direction to the desired. (in other words, if you want them falling to the left, sew them falling to the right)
Cóselas a la camiseta, pero en la dirección opuesta a la deseada. (Es decir, si quieres que caigan hacia la izquierda, cóselos cayendo hacia la derecha)
3- Turn the fringes around the seam.
Dale la vuelta a los flecos alrededor de la costura.
4- And finally, iron them. This way the seam is hide under the fringes.
Y finalmente, plánchalos. De este modo la costura queda escondida bajo los flecos.
